MAGNOLIA SATIN WORN BY HASTINGS BRIDE

SAYERS — KITT The wedding was solemnised recently at St. Mattkew's Church, Hastings, of Elsie May, third daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Kitt, of Hastings, and Henry Edward, eldest son of Mrs L. Larsen, of YVyall Bay, Wellington, and the late Mr H. E. Sayers. The Rev. K. higgett officiated at the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a lovely gown of magnolia satin, having a slightly cowled neck line caught with a pearl clasp. Tiny covered satin buttons were arranged from the neck to the waist at the back .and from elbow to wrist on the tight-fitting sleeves which were puffed at the shoulders. Her tulle veil was worn with a coronet of orange blossom and she carried a shower bouquet of white flowers and fern. Attending the bride was her sist'er, Miss Gladys Kitt, who wore a beautiful frilled frock of pink stiffened tulle mounted on . pink satin. Her bouquet was of pink flowers and fern with a pink satin ribbon. The twb flower giris, Lois Kitt and Margaret Clark, nieces of the bride, were frocked alike in frilled frocks of pale blue stitt'ened tulle. They carried baskets of freesias and fern decorated with bows of blue ribbon. Halos of pleated tulle and coloured roses were worn by the flower girls and bridesmaid. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr J. Monks. Wheu leaving the church the bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by her small niece Leonie Crawfofd. After the ceremony a reception was held in the United Hall, a very pleasant evening being spent by all. The umsic was supplied by Miss Venice Wall and Mr W. O'Rourke. Mr and Mrs Kitt received the guests, the latter wearing a frock of navy satin marocain. The bride travelled in a navy costume with navy toque, gloves and shoes. * Mr and Mrs Sayers will live in Wellington
