Hastings Club Qualifying Round Following is the draw for the second qualifying round to be played on Thursday by membei'* of ihe. Hastings Golf Cluh. Attention is dxawn to the new rule in regard to starting. In future all match.es will $tart from the first or .eleventh tees, and pairs, three ball, foursomes and fcur-ball ; matches will have equal tanding, If the players in any match should iose their ppsition — that is, have one ciear hoie .ahead of them— they must call the players immediately behind them 1 to go thcpugh. This rule tuay cause inco'nvenience at 'times, but it ha? been framed with thie idea of protecting the interests.of the majority of the memb.ers of the club and also to encourage players to play in fours. The membership of the club at the preseut time i§ higher than it ha§ ev.er been, and if players will only play in fours whenever possibie, then the question .of congestion will bji considerably eased.
