Poverty Bay to Play H.B. On Thursday Nelson Park, Hastings, should on Thursday afternoon next, July 1, be the scene of oue of the best Rugby representative matches of the seasou, wheu the anuual match between Pqverty Bay and Hawke's Bay will be played. It is expected. that the New Zealand Rugby sfelectors will he on Nelson Park on Thursday, and,. after the game will announee the players they require to appear in the trials at Wellington. The rise of Poverty Bay in the Rugby world coincides with the arrival there of Mr Tom Freneh, .a noted coach, and one with a special Hair for sorting out Rugby ability. Included in the visiting team are two wing three-quarters nominated for the trials — Grant, who represented " Auckland for a year, and A. McAnerney, a big and fast young player. y. Rogers, the third nominee, is a forward thofight fit to represent New Zealand. Matheson, an extra front-row man, and Geo. Phillips, ex-jCentral Hawke's Bay representative, are also with the team. The Hawke's Bay team is substantially the same as that which turned on such bright football against Wairarapa a -few weeks ago. The game should arouse Rugby enthusiasm in Iiawko's Bay.
