WHANGAREI, This Day. During the last seven days Whangarei has been drenehed with 6.86 inches of rain, the heaviest daily fall, 2.5 inches, being recorded on Tuesday morning, when a little flooding occurred. Yesterday the weather began to clear and prospects to-day seem better for the winter exhibition which the Aeting-Prime Minister, the Hon. P. Fraser, opens to-morrow.
