Hastings Defeats Marton ANNUAL INTER-CLUB CONTEST The annual inter-club harrier contest between Marton and Hastings was held on Saturday afternoon over two, laps of the Hastings club's championship course of 6j miles. The leaders gradually increased their lead over the rest of the field, and at the end of'the first lap Taylor led from Anderson by about 150, yards, followed by L. Smith and Hunt, with Hegglun (M) and five Hastings runhers in a bunch, about 300 yards farther back. Taylor (H) ran Out an easy winner from his club-mates, Anderson and Hunt, followed by Smith (M). who filled fourth plaee.
