"Peg of Old Drury" — To-night and Monday A 'typicalJy British picture, and one providing eharming entertainment, is "Peg oi' Old Drury," sbowiug at the Kegent to- night, and again on Monday. It is a faseinating story of the brilliant lrish beauty, singer, and dancer, and superb actress, Pegi Woffington, who went from Dublin to London, and by he» vivacity, wit, cbarm and sheer hard vork made herself, at Drury Lane Theatre, the adored favourite of London's millions. Anna Neagle plays the part of Peg witb rare eharm, vvhile no better shoice could have been made than Cedric Hardwicke for David Garrick. The play abounds in charmingly natural love scenes, brilliantly played Shakespearean and Ben Johnson excerpts, and moments of broad comedy. Screening with "Peg of Old Drury" is another full-length feature, "The Hope of His Side", with Sydney Howard, who takes the part of a henpefked village blacksmith who, tiring oi' his wife's intevininabJe lectures, deeides to assert himself, and to become one of the la,de oi' ihe village.
