PRAYER

Teach us, Lord, to be good citieens of two world — the world of timo and the world of eternity. Give us peace of heart, knowing that n0 earthly ciroumstance can touch the soul which is stayed upon the Eternal God. And give us a noble discontent with those earthly conditions which, for so many, draw a veil across the face of Eternal Love. Help us to fight on this alien sodl for the Homeland which holds our souls' loyalty. Give Us the warlike spirit and the heart at peace. Let us nof look too anxiously for victory here : only for the grace to be faithful and the power to endure. Help us to believe that faithfulness is itself victory, and to wait in patience for the eternal dawn in which we shall see what ground we have won as we fought through the night of time.
