. -JOHNSTONE— BUTLER A quiet but pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Mary's Church, Waipuknra,u, ;on Weduesdqy ai'ternoon, ■ when Annie, third daughter of Mrs. J . ,H. Butler, .of Opotiki, Bay of Pltenty, j was 'ltiarried to Edward (Toby), second j sdn of Mr. A. Johnston ahd the laterf Mrs. A. Johnston, of Wanstead. The Rev. Canon E. D. Rice officiated at the ceremony and Mrs. W. G. Bryce, presided at the Organ, the hymn, "The Voice That Breatlied O'er Eden," being sung as the bridal party entered the church. ' • ' Tlie bride, who was escorted by Mr. Roy Richards, -was wearing a smartlytailored navy costume, Avith au 'apricot smocked blouse. Her hat of navy had an orange quilt ahd. 'she wore navy shoes and gloves, and carried a navy bag: ' - • Mrs, .Roy Itichards, who attended tlie bride as matron of honour, was wearing a navy costnine witli a fawn blouse ahd match ing, hat. Followiug the ccrejuony a reception was held at tho. Ruahine tearooms, which were attractiyely decorated for tlie ocqasiou, 'rhe reception was a very jolly .one, , tbe usual toasts beiug honoured , ahd the cake cut. Whep Mr. and Mrs. Johnston, left on their honeymoou, which will be spent in Aiiqkland aud the Bay of Plenty, the bride travelled in a grey, and green iiecked tweed suit with a matching hat and accessories to tone. ... .
