Champion Dancer to Visit Hastings The dahcing-lovers of Hastings are Ih 'for a treat, as shortly to appear in Hastings is Miss Shona -Bennett, of Wellington, champiotf-' toe-dancer Of Australasia. Only just a glrl yet,_ this wonderful little ' artist had the. highest honour conferred on her that any New Zealand dancer has evcr had. In winning the charrtpionship pf New Zealand, she qualified for a- free trip.to Australia to represent New Zealand in the dancing class there-, in which she won handsomely, by a very large margih, earning fpr herself some very high praise from some of the best daiicing yu'dges iu Australia. After that she was invited to' ihake a-tour of Australip, demonstrating throughoot Australia lier wonderful talent. ,The Sydney Morning Herald comm.ented that if Miss Bennett took up dancing as a profession she would very spon qualify .io rank with the world 's greatest dancers, and a great future would be in store for her, Wheri asked about this, -Miss Bennett replied that she woulrl nevor think of taking uu dancing as a profession ;• she dances hecauso she loves it, and it hclps to kpen her (it. Miss Bennett gives, up a lot of her time . in dancing at charity concerts in Wellington, and it is this cnuse that is-bringing her to Hastings on .Tulv 16 in oonnection with the Methodist Home and Foreign Missiotis ori-ariised by the innior boys' Biblp Class.
