ORMONDVILLE, La&t Night.. The School Committee meeting held this week was attpnded by all members. Mr. Newling 'presided and the master, Mr. P. F. Smalley was in attendance. The roll number is now 51, with an attendance of 47, a number of the children having been away occasionally on account of sickness. The balance • sheet returned by the audit department was adopted. The work of the dental clinic.is now ended for the quarter, and after discussjvn it was resolved" to hold a series of euchre parties jn Ba turda v eA»niugs in ihe school to raise tunds- for -the local'conIribution to dental clinic costs. A sub-committee to arrange this was appointed. ... It was decided to hold a school coucert in October. Miss Higgins (assistant teacher) is daily brewing cocoa, with sugar, for about 20 children during the lunch hour, the school committee providing the materials. This is found to be very beneficial to those pupils who bri«g lunch, and more popular than the provision of milk. Accounts totalling £13 19/10 were passed for payment.
