TAUMARUNUI, This Day. The Hon. F .Langstone, Minister of Lands, in opening the Winter Show, quoted figures showing the ' development of the Dominion in the past year. Exports, as compared with those for the previous year, had increased by £10,000,000, he said, and imports had increased by the same amount. There were 266 more factories and production was worth £10,500,000 more. People employed in industries had increased ,by 7000, receiving an additional £1,500,000 in wages. The wages bill for the whole Dominion during the past two years had shown an increase of £19,000,000, Pensioners numberecl 17,000 more than a year ago and received an additional £2,000,000. There had been 27,000 more niotorrcars sold this year, and 49,000 more radio sets.
