20th ANNUAL BALL OF THE HASTINGS RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB

A canopy of streamers in amber and black had been most intricately carried out in the Hastings Aseembly Hall for the twentieth annual ball of the Hastings Rugby Football Club which was held, last evening and was enjoyed by many dancers. A most energetic coinmittee *had worked hard to assure. the suceess of the ball and the club players had given great assistance to the committee in carrying .out the decorations. The ladiee' committee, too, had given much help with the supper arrangements, those on the committee being Mesdames T. A. Hill. A. Wilkde, Walter Wright, A. Kirkpatrick, Ewing, Palmer, F. J. Hull, Talbot, J. James, Misses Audrey Drummond, Hazel Bowden, Jones, D. Goodall, N. Scott, A. Brimer, I). Cocks, R. Flowers and M. Wilson. The men's committee was Messrs B. A. Grenside, J. Dunn, F. W. Nelson, C. Muir. 1). Tait, A. . Aldridge, J.. Palmer, and D. Pcarson. Messrs U. Wright and J. D. Seott were the very' capable secretaries and Mr ti. K. Hingston, the M.C. A very tempting supper was enjoyed, the long tabies being decorated with bowls of golden poppies, fern and foliage- arranged by Mrs A. Kirkpatrick and Mrs Walter Wright.
