Insurance Company Apologises to Rival ' ■ ■ SYDNEY, June 24. , As regards the libel 'and slander action the Australian Provincial Assurance versus the Colonial Mutual Life, it is now disclosed ttat, when matter eame before acting-Justice Owen on Tuesday, defendant's solicitor, Mr. R. C. Cook, read a notice and apology in wliich the Colonial Mutual Life Assuranco Society, Limited, withdrew aud repudiated all the statements published in the railwavs journal Railroad, and expressed regret for them. In addition defcndants acknowlodged that the Australian Provincial Assuranee Association, Limited, "is one of the conipanies approvcd by tho railway eommissioners for gronp assurance of its employees. '
