DANCE IN AID OF PORANGAHAU QUEEN
Well-Organised • Function The Central Hawke's Bay Rugby Carnival advanced a further step on Tuesday evening when a very jolly dance was held in the Masonic Hall, Waipukurau, in aid of the Porangahau Queen, Miss Jacqualine Ormond. The decorations in the dance hall, tliough simple were most effective. The windows were screened with bunches of greenery and vivid scarlet paper poppies, similar decorations being placed around the walls. From the small stage, which was massed with native greenery Wi Huncan's orchestra played popular dance music, having to respond to many encores.
