Fines Imposed on Hastings Offenders Vigilanee on the part of the Hastings traffic authorities brought a number of erring motorists before Mr J. Miller^ S.M., iix the Hastings Magistrate's Oourt this morning. Foi* overloaddng a heavy motor vehiele Franeis William Potberry (Mr E. J. Hallett) was fined £1 10/-, with 10/- costs. Pleading guilty to a charge of driviflg a motor-vehicle in a manner dungerous to the pu.blic, William Beach was fined £5, with costs 10/-, and had his licence suspended for four weeks. . Driving a motor-car without lights cost Percival Gilbert Dixon 10/-. Charged with driving a iuotor-vehicle without having a heavy-traffic licence, James Albyn Newrick was fined £4, with costs 10/-. On a similar charge Domiiiico Cincotta was fiiied £5 and 10/- costs, For parking a motor-car too far out from the kerb and alongside another vehicle, liugli McIOnnon was "fined 10/-, with costs of a similar alnount. John Berrigan was fined £2 with cogts 10/-, for operating a motorvehicle with ineffieient brakes. Driving a motor-car without being the possessoi" of a driver's licence resulted in "Fraiik Jolinsou being fined 10/-, with co'sts. ' ' {
