Fallada and Puncee defeated Avory anrl Lee 6 — 0, 6 — 1, 5 — 7, 6 — 3. AndrewS aiid QuintaVallO defeated A. BroWn and Findlay, 6—0, 6—4, 6—4. WOMEN 'S SINGLES. First Round. Miss Lizana defeated MiSs G. Osborne 6 — 2, 6 — 2. Miss Jedrzejowska defeated Miss S. Noel 6 — -2, 6—0. The CoUntess de 1a Valdene defeated Miss James 6—4, 6—0. Seeond Round. Miss Jacobs defeated Miss E. Harvey 6 — 2, 6 — 1. Miss Sperling defeated Miss Baumgarten 6 — 2, 6 — 0. Miss Marble defeated Miss Hardwick 9 — 11, 6—4, 6—3. Other matches were postponed owing to rain.
