New Executive Appointed To Take Over

ATICKLAiND, Last Nigbt. The appointment of an almost new executive for the direction of the Boy Scout movement in New Zealand was reported by Mr. H. Christie, the acting Dominion Chief Commissioner, at a largely-attended meeting at Auckland. He said that the reconstruction work would be slow, but the finance committee was now working under the ehairmanship of Sir James Grose in association with men of prominence in financial circles and good progress was anticipated. A cabinet of headquarters commissioners for various branches of scoutiug, Cubs, Scouts, Itovers and Sea Scouts, was being formed, and as soon as finance made it possible Mr. J, R. H. Cooksey, the Dominion head of the training system, would visit olitlying areas "Tlie boy will be our sole consideration," said Mr. Christie. "The changes in the organisation and policy will have as the objective the furthering of the welfare of the youth df New Zealand. The charge lies upon us to prepare the boys to fit themselves to assume their tasks in life."
