DRUNKEN DRIVERS
Must Be Treated With Severity ^ WELLINGTON, This Day, " Where a definite and serious evil exists, it must be dealt with by the Courts with what power they have," said Mr. J. Luxford, S.M., dealing with an intoxicated car driver. The defendant Eichard James Thomas Cowley, aged 49, a painter, was sentenced to 21 days' hard labour and his licence was suspended and he was prohibited from ohtaining another till after May 21, 1939. It was stated that defendant had % convietion about ten years ago.
