PARIS, June 21. It is officially announced that M. Leon Blura's Government has rasigned The British Tlnited Press says that it is understood that M. Camille Chautemps has completed a Cabinet and will see President Ee Blum later in the dayi The Senate met at 11.30 p.m. and considered the Government 's demand for special financial powers, whdch the Deputies had already conceded but eoncerniug which a compromise was drafted' in order to meet the Senate 's objections. . . . , The Senate, after MM. Government amendment to their own proposal by 160 vote® tp 112, thea rejected the compromise text by 168 votes to 96 and yoted for their. own Partial Powers BalL It was previously stated that the Government had decide.d to stake its life on a Bill demanding full powers to deal with the financial situation M. Blum put the issue simply in the Chamber of Deputies: "Either you vote for me or for the banks." The Government demanded an authoiflfsation to take by decrees all the necessary steps to assure restoration of public confidenee and to combat attaeks on the currency and public credit. The Chamber passed the measure by 346 votes to 247. but the Sonate rejected tha Bill.
