"As a thanks-offering for Earl Baldwin's courageous, far-seedng and sympathetie handling of a supremely difficult situation," an anonymous British donor has placed £250,000 at Earl Baldwin Js disposal to endow "any object best ealeulated to strengthon still further the ties of the Domincons and the United Kingdom who once more have demonstrated their solidarity in time of omergency." Announeing his aoceptanee of the gift, Earl Baldwin states that steps are being taken towards the creation of an ■independent trust empowered to allocate the money in the interests of interImperial relations.
