Keel Yacht's Cruise Cabled advice that the keel yacht Roxane, which sailed from Auckland on May 24 for Norfolk Island, Ljrd Howe Island, Sydney, Brisbane and Great Barrier Reef, hiad reached Lord Howe Island on June 18, was received to-day. The cable statedi the crew were all well. _ The crew eomprises the owners, Messrs R. Wellington and K. Dawson, who are accompanied by Mr L. O'Brien. The Roxane reached Norfolk Island 12 days out from New Zealand, Lord Howe Island being reached approximately a fortnight later. — Auckland. Crossings Eliminated Ple»sure at the progress with the elimination of level crossings during the past 12 months was expressed today by the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. R. Semple, who said that the back of the job had* been broken. Of 250 crossings on the present programme 14 had been completed, 62 contracts were let, and there were 59 proposals in liand and 40 surveys. Delays had been caused througli difficulty in obtaining supplies of reini'oreng steel.— Wellington. New Air Service The last of a series of test flights over the air route from Auckland to Wellington was made yesterday by the Kotare, which arrived at Rongotai at about 3 p.m. after an uneventful threehour trip. It was announced from Auckland yesterday that the pilots to command tlie miaehines on the service will be Commanders B. A. Blythe (chief), A. G. Gerrand, G. R. White, 0. M. Duthie; and the co.pilots, Second Officers E. A. Robinson, P. A. Mathie. son, S. Meachem and J. Peel Wellington.
