Saturday's series prov'ided 110 eur-pris-ee apart from the big marglhs of the victories gained by M.A.C. -and Hastings H.S.O.B. The former defeated Celtic by 20 points to eight in a ganie that was very even except in scoring. Old Boys downed their rivals, -Napier H.S.O.B., by the margin of 26 points to 12, after being down 9—3 at half' time. In the main game at Napier; though it was not the mere interesting of the two, Technical O.B. deieated Havelock North 16—5, all' the winner's points coming dn the second spelL The brighter game of the two at McLean Park was that between Hastings and Pirates, the former running out cOmfortable wln*nere by 17 points to 10 after a game itt which there were many interesting movements.
