WOMEN'S INSTITUTE

The June meeting of the Wakarara Women 's Institute was held in the schoolroom, the president, Mrs. Warlow, presiding over a fair attendance. After the usual business had been dealt with, members keenly watched an interestiilg demonstration on sten cilling, given* by Mr, G. Sn&dden, fof Which he was aceorded a hearty voto of thanks. The competition, best ftrticie made from a salt bag, was won by Miss E. Langeson. The motto for the month was "Love and Truth Are Stronger Than Evil." A very dainty afternoon tea was sorved by the hostesses.
