BRIDE CHOOSES GOWN OF IVORY EMBOSSED CLOQUE
GRYLLS— SHAKESPEARE At the Baptist Church, Brooklyii, Wellington, the wedding was recentiy. solemmsed of Freda, daughter of ALr and Mrs. W. B. Shakespeare, Alexander . street, Hastings, and Ernest, son of Mr and Mrs G. GryJls, Dorking road, Brooklyn, Wellington. The ltev. M, E. Edridge officiated at the ceremony, and was assisted by the Rev. 0. B. Boggis. Friends of the brida had decorated the church beautifully with iceland poppies and ferns. Mr L. Millar presided at the organ, and during the ceremony the hymns "How Welcome Was the Call," and "Love Divine/ ; were sung, and Mis» M. MeCallum saug a solo whi|e the register was being signed. The bride, who was escorted by hec father, wore a gown of ivory embossed eloque with fitting trained skirt and shirred bodice and sleeves. The neckline was caught with a spray of orangu blossom in front and finished at the baek with tiny buttons to tue waistline which was defined with a plaited girdle. Her beautifully embroidered tulle veil was arranged with a halo of orange blossom and fell to form a seeond traiu She carried a shower bouquet of freesias and orehids. The two maids, Miss Ena Shakespeare (chief), and Miss Kath Norgall, oi Wellington, were froeked a'iike in shrimp pink embossed eloque fashioned like the bride 'is gown and finished with three .large silver lame buttons on the shirred bodice: They wore silver satidals and their silver lame toques were finished with shrimp pink flowers. Eaek maid carried a shower bouquet of pink carnations, iceland poppies and fern with silver ribbons, and wore a crystal neekline, the gift from the bridegroom. The duties of best man were carried ont by Mr Norman . Grylls" and those of groomsman by Mr Andrew Fraser. The reception was held in the Baptist School hall which was beautifuliy decorated. with baskets of ieeland poppies About 70 guests were reeeived by the parents of the bride and brddegroom, Mrs W. B. Shakespeare wearing a navy wool georgette ensemble with navy velour hat and navy accessories: She wore a shoulder spray of yellow roses and freesias. Mrs G. Grylls wore a higger brown tailored costnme with a born velour hat and her shoulder spray was of searlet rofces. When the bride and bridegroom Ieft for their honeyinoan in the north the bride traveiled in a costnme of bxown tlecked English worsted worn with a pink blouse, brown velour hat and brown accessories.
