Doctors rrray differ regarding the harmjessness of tobaccb, but the famous London physician, Sir Bruce Porr tdr, entertaixis uo doubt on the subr ject. " I know," he says, ' ' tobacco is an extreme comfort to a great cnany, and I wish more partieula^ly to reassure old folks so that they may not be terril|ed from emjpying one of the few pleasures remaining to those of advanced years. Tobacco in moderation is not going to do them any harm." So far from that it may do them a great deal of good, provided it's ,as pure as it ought to be. IJnfortunately it very often isn't. The eonstant use of tobacco full of nicotine xuay seriously aft'ect the heart or wreck the nerves; well, there 's no occasiou for any Maorilander to run such risks. The Dominion's famous toasted blends: Cut Plug No. 10 (Bullshead), Navy Cut No. 3 (Bulldog), Cavendish, Eiverhead Gold and Desert Gold are as sweet, cool, fragrant and solacing — being toasted* — - as even Sir Bruce Porter can desire. Ask for the brands named and avoid worthless irnitations- There are several about.*
