SHEEP EXPORT

Romneys for Australia Further shipments of high-class Stud Romney sheep went forward to Melbourne by the Wanganella on Friday last. These sheep, selected from studs in tiro Manawata and Wairarapa districts, were consigned to South Australia tlxrough the stud stock departmenl of the New Zealand Loau aud Mercantile Agency Co., LtJ. Included m the consignment were 50 selected 2-tooth ewes purchased on behalf of the South Australian Governinent for their experimental farm at Kybrolite. These ewes have been mated to 2-tooth high quality stud rams having a wool test of AAA aud AA respectively. The ewes also were wool tested at the Massey Agricultural Col lege aud were selected from Mr. J. A. Mitchell's stud ai Longburn. A further order for Mr. C. R. Rundle, of Salisbury, South Australia, was rlled by the purchaso of five top quality 2-tooth ewes from Messrs. Yoss Bros., Kareio, Longburn. These are outstanding sheep and have been selected to an exacting specification. On behalf of Mr. A. C. Weston, > Strathalbyn, a vory solect consignment J as been dcspatchcd. These sheep were

fav.elcted by Mr. Weston, and comprise 10 top quality stud ewes from Mr. Quentin Donald, •'Allor/' Featherston, se/en stud d-tooth ewes ex Mr. W. H. Gibson, ' 'Beckfiel'd, ' ' Kiwitea, and a high quality stud rain from the saine vendor.
