Olficial Opening At Wellington -IMPOSING BUILDING

WELLINGTON, This Day. Worthy of the Dominion 's capital, Wellington 's new railway station was officially opened this morning by the . Governor-Gener.al, Viscount Galway. Imposing as the strueture appears in any circumstanees, natjire added to its grandeur to-day by bathing it in bright sunshine and providing a soft blue sky as a background. After speeches by the Minister of Railways, 'the Hon. D. G. Sulliyan, the acting-Prime Minister, the Hon. P. Fraser, and others, Yiseount Galway was presented with a gold key by the architect, Mr W. Gray Young, and unloeked the main entrance door of the station and also unveiled a commemoration stone recprding the offieial opening, The entrance hall was filled with invited guests, while crowds lined the vicinity. Those on the platform included all the members of Cabinet, the Mayor, Mr T. C. A. Hislop, Sir Alfred Eansom, former Minister of Railways, representhtiveg of local authorities and prominent citizens. At the conelusion of the cercmony the guests were entertained at morning tea, The various amenities of the stafion will be open for publie inspection this afternoon when guides will be provided by the Eailway Department.
