DUNEDIN, Last Night. The secretary of the Listeners ' Lcague to-day telegraphed the ActingMinister of Broadcasting (Hon. F. Jones) for permission to advertise from 4YA and the B stations the league's annfual meeting. Mr. Jones replied that it was not possible to comply with ihe I request as the transmission of adver- | tisements from stations was prohibited under the provision of the Act of last ! year. Tho secretary replied that the section of the Act only prohibits advertising for pecuniary benefits and tho meeting is not for the pecuniary benefit of anyone, but is only a notice of •a meeting.
