First Ordered Hip Bath For Child Dr. J. A. Berry, giving evidence this afternoon, rbcalled the admission of a young girl to the hospital in April, 193G, suffering from dislochtion of the hip. An operation was performed under an anaesthetic, the patient'f heart condition being satisfactory. Mr. Foden: At all eve.nts, the treatmont was ordered with your ' knowbdge? AVitness: Yes. ■ Was it entercd up? AVhai other treatment "was it decidcd to apply?— "The sister asked mo if any other trearment could be administered, and I said that there were two forms, one by hot baths and the other by giving an animal extrpct. Did you prescribe one or the other? — "Yes, the child wa$ given the bath. I was not sure of the exact temperature, and after a day or two I looked it up and gavo the treatment." The chairman: You prescribed hot baths?? > . 1 AVitness: I first ordered a hip bath. Mr. Foden: Did you order that in writing? AVitness replied that ho did not, and I then stated that lie had.
