SUNDAY NIGHT CONCERT
First-Class Programme Arranged A grand Sunday night concert will be held in the Hastings Municipal Theatre next Sunday at 8.15 p.m. in aid of the New Relief Workers' Association district funds. The organiser has arranged a *first-class porgramme, and the ■whole of the programme is of a bright nalure. * The organiser mentioned at the last Sunday night concert that it depended on the attendance at this concert whether the concerts would continue. So if the attendance next Sunday night justifies it there will be better and bigger programmes to come. First of all on Sunday night the Napier Frivolity Minstrels' Orchestra of nine instruments, under the direction of Mrs Bromley Hill, will present a number of popular itema The orchestra will also accompany all the other items. The next on the programme will be that old favourite Waliy Ireland in a number of new comic songs, and he will be followed by Eric Paynter, who will sing some of the latest Tadio songs. Then Madge Widerstrom, the New Zealand Gracie Fields, who will make you laugh till you are sore. Miss Peggy Black will give a number of dance action songs which are sure to • please the audience. Erico and Jerico, the Mexican duettists, will entertain with piano-accordeo'n and steelguitar duets. Then will come another old favourite, Will Keen, in new numbers. One of the star items will be that of Hokus and Pokus, the great magicians, presentihg their famous art. Mr Roy Girling will be heard in solos and duets with Mr George Bulli\rant, who will also give character songs about the Army and Navy, and a number of sketches will be given by the concert party. Tho whole programme is of a high class, so intending patrons are advised to book their seats at Donton Wyatt's, bookseller, Heretaunga street, Hastings, till 6 p.m. on Saturday and at the theatre from six o'clock on Sunday night. It costs no extra to book.
