Much interest was taken in the competition for the best article made from a sugar bag, which was organised bv ttie secretary and judged by Mrs. J. CTosswib. Mrs. J. W. Fendall won the pnze of a posy bowl of natural flowers, with her exhibit of two cushion covers made with vari-coloured stripes. Mjs. Barton Hobbs announced that next week the meeting would be a family treasure . afternoon, and the members were asked to bring anything of interest and not necessarily of value. At this meeting, Mrs. des Forgea would be the guest of honour, ap she had found it necessary to rasign from the committee because home duties prevented her from attendinsr the meetings. The hostesses dispensed a delicious tea,
