Napier Preparingr Plans DEPARTMENT PROMISES ORAKI An assurance that every possible step would ,be taken to further the proposal for inereased aecommodation for boarders at the Napier Girls ' High School was given at the monthly meeting ot the Napier Secondary Education Board by the chaimian, Mr J. H. Edmundson. The Education Department notified the board that it was prepared to give consideration 'to the erection of portion of the building requested by the board, and asked the board to submit an amended plan and an estimate of the cost. The Hon. W. E. Bamard mentioned that the Minister of Education, the Hon. Peter Fraser, had promised him that, as soon as the amended plan and estimate had been received by the department, a grant would be made to cover the cost of the building. The architeet was already engaged in the matter, reported the chairman, but it would be possibly two months before the plan and estimate would be ready for the department.
