WELLINGTON, Last Night. At tlie fourteenth .annual meeting of New Zqaland Breweries, Ltd., today, the chairman, Mr David W, Madden, referring to the report and balanee sheet, said the economic policy of the Government had resnlted in a general expansion of trade. "In commoix with other inaiiufacturing concerns, we have to i*eeord an appreciable inereasa in output. This change in national eeonomy, however, has brought with it many onerous obligations, and every department of our business has been, affeoted ihereby. ' ' Tho report and balanco shoet, whieh iccommonded a payment of a ilnal divw dend of 4£ per cent. making a total fotf the year of 74 per cent, was adoptod. Messrs D. W. Madden and H; C. Me Coy and the Hon. W. P.on'y were teelected directore.
