Hawke's Bay Awards The following are the various Hawke's Bay awards secured at th© Manawatu Show: — FRUIT SEOTION ■ A. J. Bale (Havelock North) first for iNortbern Spy apples, first and third for Dougherty, first and commended for Delicious, and v.h.c. for Granny Smitli, in the dessert classes ; first and second for Statesman, first and second for Wasbington, first and highly commended for Ballarats, first and second for cooking apples, second for "dessert, not enumerated, second and third for champiou collectiou, first for coflection of cookers, and second for export collection. Mr. D, McQulloch (Havelock North) was v.ln.c. for Statesman apples, first for dessert apple, not enumerated, and v.h.c. for cliampion collection. In the case-fruit section A. J. Bale was thjrd and highly commended for Delicious, first for Dougherty, first for Granny Smith, first for Rome Beauty, first for Wasliington, second for cooking apples, third for exporfc apples, also second for dessert pears. Mr. D. MoCulloch was third for cooking apples, first for pears, first for dessert pears and first for cooking pears. Mr. A. J. Bale also gained first and second awards for walnuts. % HGNEY Mr. L. Avison (Hastings) was first for light amber honey, second. for light ambcr liquid, first for medium and liquid, first for beeswax, first for light amber granuiated, Mr. W. J. C. Ashcroft (Havelock Nortli) ivas seeond for light amber honsy, first for whi,te liquid. .
