SYDNEY, June 16. The slandards of previous years arc aioro tlian maintained at this year's stud sheep show, which opened to-day at the showground at Sydney under aaspicious conditions. Tho chief Now Zealand exhibitor, Mr. D. Grant, of Timaru, "secured the fol- .■ icwing awards: Border Leieestcr classes, reserve grand champion for a iine ram, first prize for a- ram ove: mie and under two years, third and ' liighly commended "for a ram under one ycar, third and highly commended for a. ram of two years and highly coiu iuendcd for a pen of two rams unde, ene year. Tho award for grand champion wcn to Mr. W. A. O 'Neill, who was the chic prize-winner in the Bordor Leiceste. classes. Major prizes in the Corriedale were taken by Messrs. J. F. Guthrie an0.
