Successful Annual Re-union

OTANE, This Day. The annual reunion of the .Otane branch of the Keturned Soldiers' Association was held in the Town Hall on Tuesday night, there being a very good attendance of members and friends. A lengthy programme of toasts and musical items of a high standard'contributed to the eucceBs and enjoyment of the evening. An orchestra, under the baton of Mr T. Mahor, rendered valuable assistauce, and the playing of the many old-time martial airs was groatly enjoyed by the .gathermg. . In addition* to some very hearty comraunity singing, items were given by the following: — Mr Humphrey, recitation; Mr MacDocigall, songs; Mr O'Halloran, recitations; Mr ,T. Bussell, cornet solo and bugle cails; Mr H. M. Christie, songs. The toast list, as follows, was duly honoured:— -Loyal toast; E.S.A. (Mr E. Lough'nan — Mr H. Limbrick); Absent Comrades (Mr J. MacDougall) ; "Parliament (Mr G. Voyce — Mr H. M. Christie, M.P.); The Ladies (Mr T. Bruce— Mr' C. Woods) ; H.B. War Efelief Association (Mr A. E. Black— Mr - J. Barrie) ; The Visitors (Mr A. J. Trevena — Mr N. Wiseman).
