RUGBY, June 14. The death occurrcd smldenly yesterday of Professor J. L. Stocks, ViceChancellor of tho University of Liverpool. Before taking up his post at Liverpool last year. he was for 12 years professor of philosophy iu tho Univorsity of Manchester, and carlier was a lccturcr at Oxford.
