A curious ."calFateria" is a featurt of the United States Department oi Agriculture Experiment Statiou at Belle Grade, Fla-. Fourteen differeni kinds of grass have been plauted in strips across a feneed-in field. At certain hours of the day, eows and calveE are turned into the field while observerg with watches and record sheets jot down the strips they go to. The scientists are, in effect, letting the animals vote on the kind of grass they want. In some instances, the animals will pass over half a dozen strips before they began to graze.
