STATE THEATRE
"DON'T TELL THE WIFE" AND " WE'EE ON THE JTTRY " Featuriug three of Hollywood 's most popular comediaus in a rollickiug screen play bubling over with eutertainment and huniour, EKO Eadio presents "Don't Tell the Wife," at tlie State Theatre to-morrow. The play is based on the . operatious of a gang of coulLdence .men, avIio peddle stock in a gold mine they have never seen, Guy Kibbee innocentiy agrees to head the Jirm and they do a tremendous business until Kibbee discovers he has been selling apparently worthless stock to many of his friends. Una Merkel, who backed the venture in the belief it was legitimate, plays the wife of Lynne Overman, who finds himself headed back to his alma mater, "Sing Sing," for a post-graduate course. Helen Broderick, in her new ecrcen offering, "'VVe'ro On the Jury," tho second feature at the State, in which she is co-starred for the first time with Victor Moore, is seen as a lady of social prominence serving on her first jury. As portrayed by the favourite comedieune, this lady juror has a mind of her own, and what she does to normal court procoedings may be very npsetting to thq judge and the trial attorneys, but — ably abetted by Mr Moore — it mak-es for hilarious comedy and novel eutertainment. "We're On the Jury" also embodies a murder mystery and a courtroom drama. The presentation of Miss Broderick and Mr Moore as a comedy tcom in "Swing Time," with Fred Astaire and Ginger Eogers, called for their furthter coappearance, so the pair is co-starred in this lollicki'xig comedy that taps their abunclant sloro of ta'ents. "His Lordship, " with George Arlis-s, sereens finally to-night. ,
