New Zealand Horses Win Three Events MELBOUBNE, June. 14. New Zealand horses won three events at the King's Birthday holiday races at Flemington to-day. A notewortby p'erformance was Cape Liloek's triumph over the seasoned Santa Casa in the Boyal Steeplechase by a head. Both finished with great dctcrmination and were responsible for cxeellcht National trials, Cheque had an casy victory in the Marlborough Trial Handicap and Upokoariki had a comfortable win in good company" in the richly-endowed Birth- - day Handicap. The chief results were: — MABLBOEOUH TBIAL HANDICAP. First Division. CHEQUE, S.7 (Badger) I Con Devon, 7.9 (Olsen) 2 My Boy, 7.10 (Cox) 3 Twenty started. Ono and- a-half lengths and a head. Time, 1.14J. BOYAL STEEPLECHASE. CAPE LILOCK, 9,7 (Eegan) .... 1 Santa Casa, 12.1 (Armsden) .... 2 Seymour, 11.7 (Fullarton) • . . 3 Eleven started. Won by a head and two lengths. Time, 3.59f. BIETHDAY HANDICAP. . ' UPOKOABIKI, 9.0 (A. Keed) .... 1 Trving, 7.12 (Preston) 2 Boyal Armour, 7.10 (Dewhurst) .. 3 ■Nine started, including Eebel Queen. Wop by a length and three lengths.
