WAIPAWA, Thia Day. Saturday's bogey round over eighteen holes for the president'g trophy resulted in a win for Watts, with a card of all square off the 5 mark. Collings, off 10, returned second with 4 down. The A team visited Parkvale during the week-end for the annual match with that club, and after very closelycontested games, tlie result went in favour of Parkvale by 7\ to 5-}. The B team played a match against Ongaonga on the local links, the ladies being successful with a return of 5£ to 31, while the men suffered defeat by 6j to 51. Despit© the heavy gale many excellent cards were returned by botli sides. A return match with the Ongaonga dub will be arranged shortly. . The second qualifying round for the F.M.T. Cup will be played on Wednesday the draw being as follows : — Bryant plays G. Knobloch, Edwards plays Woods, Tickner play8 Norris, Shackleford plays Orr, Bisliop plays Dwight, Olark plays Rust, Surridge plays Dallas, Diek plays Mitchell, Fox plays Paterson, Jeffery plays Walker, Reg. Holt plays King, Murphy plays Hamilton. Players are requested to be on the tee at 1 p.m. sharp. Next Saturday a match will be played at Patangata by a combined team.
