Whether the annual xeunion of the Waipukurau Eeturned Soldiers' Association could be improved upon, or a similar function substltutcd, was tho question raised at the annual meeting of the aseociation last night. Mr A. O. Williams presided over a good attendance of members. Mr Williams pointed out that the last reunion had been a big loss financially. ''We are not looking for profits; we can stand small losses, but big losses will drain away the association 's funds," he said. Members expressed the wush that some social function should be held which would attract all members. It wais pointed out that some of the members were not willing to attend the present emoke concerts and reunions, and that eomething should be done to revise them. A motion by Mr C. E. Watson that the Waipukurau Eeturned Soldiors' Association hold its reunion in the form of a dinner and a ball afterwards was discussed. The matter was left in the hands of the committe».
