(Received 15, 11 a.m.) HOLLYWOOD, June 14. Miss Mary Pickford ailnounced that she will marry Charles (Buddy) Rogers on Jnne 26. There will be a simple olitdoor ceremony at the home of a friend. The hbneymoon tvill be spent in Honolulu.
Mary Pickford, oiice "the World'S Sweetheart," was one of the earliest of the screen favourites, among her most famous roles being that of "Little Lord Fauntleroy." Her marriage to Douglas Fairbanks Was one of the most publicised in the history of the screen, and they were regarded as the most happily married couple in Hollywood. With the advent of talking pictures, both Miss Pickford and her kusband i'ound that their box-office attraction fell sharply away, and for sevetal years iieither has appeared on the screen. Three years ago Miss Pickford secured her divorce from Douglas Fairbanks, and shortly after she entered the screen- business from the production end, in partnership with J'esSe Lasliy, the Pickford-Lasky group producing several pictures smce then. Cliarles (Buddy) .Rogers, to whom Miss Pickford became engaged last year, was a popular lead in screeri musicals, but has made few pictures of late, having confined his attention mainly to dance-band work. * Miss Pickford is several years older than her fiance.
