Government Purchase of Land

DUNEDHST, Last Night. Dr. McMxllan announced that the Government has purchased 36 acres at Wakari beyond the Kaikorai "Valley for a housing seheme, The land is at present bearing crops and is nnlikely to be taken over for six menths. The price is undiselosed. The Postinaster-General, the Hon.. F. Jones etated on Saturday that plans were being prepared for a modern workshop for the Dunedin P. and T. Department at a cost of over £20,000.
