BAND BROADCAST
. Listeners' Compliments Complimentary references to the re--cent broadcast over 2ZL by the Hast ings Gitizens' Band continue to be received by the conductor, Mr Chas. Bryant, and it is evident that the' broadcast was a pronounced success iii every respect. A well-known New Zealand trombone player, and former member of the E.C.M.R. Band, now resident at the No. 3 camp at Kopuawhara, near Gisborne, has written extending hearty congratulations on the very fine broadcast. "We hada wonderful reception here," he said. "Everything was beautiful and clear, and as an old bandsman I can assure you that your band played ve*y nicely." The writer proceeded to comment upon the various aspects of the performance in the manner of an adjudicator, and concluded by saying: "I can assure you tlmt l enjoyed your very fine performait' e 1 enjoyed every minute of it, au i 5 thank you for giving; these 1>h -i dlies a splendicl musical treat."
