PROTECTING WARSHIPS

Agreement Reached (Received 14, 8.45 a.in.) LONDON, June 13. Mr Anthony Eden (Britain), Mr Corbin (France), Herr Yon Ribbentrop .(Germany) and Signor Grandi (Italy) have agreed on the text of the communication which is to be addressed to both parties in Spain regarding the methods of ensuring the safety of patrolling warships. It is understood that the communication follows the lines anticipated, namely that the Spaniards are asked to do their best to ensur.: a non-repetition of the hombings of forpign warships and to provide additional safety zoncs, If there are incidents, never theless, the patrolling powers agree to cousult diplomatically. Mean while there will be no rctalia'tion, althougli the vesscls' right of self-de-fence is undisputed.
