Miss Laurie's writs against General Evangeline Booth and Comprission6r McMillau have been withdrawn as a result of relatives' representations not to ittjure the Salvation Army. Following tho sensational announcoiiient of the dismissal of Conimissionor Mapp, of tlie Salvation Army, in circumstances wliieh appeared unfavourable to the coxnmissioner, the Daily iVfail stated, on May 23, that writs had been issued against General Evangeline Booth and Commissioner McMillan by Miss Peggy Laurie, a London dressmaker, and daughter of a late cominis sioner of the Army. She had known Commissioner and Mxs Mapp all her | life. Mr Mapp said that the writs j relited to a matter apai't from his dist auaia^
