MISS BALLANTYNE'S PUPILS ENJOY "LONG NIGHT"

1 Puplla of Miss Jean Ballantyne wers gtven a combined claas "long, night ' ' on Saturday at the Silver Slipper Cabarot, Napier. The music for tho dancing was suppldod by Miss B. Cooper and Mr H. Brown. During tho evening the following pupils of tho Hastings ballet, dressed in snappy white satin suits, gave an oxhibition tap dance: Misses Fay Hall, Bay Seton, Lucy Cassin, Betty Ross and Rita Purkiinson. Miss Ballantyne was wearing a sweet frock of blackberry shot talfeta, with a sash of dcep wine velvet, and a spray of mixcd flowers finishing the low-eut necklino at tho back. Assisting her wore Miss Hilary Fendall, wearing a fancy frock of eau-de-nil striped in silver and a silver girdle, and Miss Fay Hall, who wore a pretty frock of floral cropc corona with a corsage spray of blue and white flowers. These "long nights," given every month, are greatly appreciated by the pupils, one and all having a very happy time.
