AUCKLAND, June 12. The Auckland Racing Club's winter meeting concluded at Ellerslie to-day in fine weather with light rain in the early af ternoon. The attendance was 17,700 and the track was holding. The totalisator handled £63,322 for seven races, as against £49,224 for eight races ast year, the increase being £14,098. Ihe figures for the meeting were :185,852 10s, as compared with £133,512 _0s last year, representing on increase f £52,340. From the half mile to the straight Tybalt and Kilonsa made the play but once in line Royal Appellant moved up to join Valmint and went on to win by 2} lengths' witk a similar distance separating Loombination from Valmint. Down the hill Irish Comet took the lead from Forest Glow» Allegretto, Tudor and Don Erma, who fought out a sterling finish in which Irish Comet opened up a gap of five lengtns on Tudor, who was two lengths ahead of Allegretto.
