AUCKLAND, June 12. The Auckland Racing Club's winter meeting concluded at Ellerslie to-day in fine weather with light rain in the early af ternoon. The attendance was 17,700 and the track was holding. The totalisator handled £63,322 for seven races, as against £49,224 for eight races ast year, the increase being £14,098. Ihe figures for the meeting were :185,852 10s, as compared with £133,512 _0s last year, representing on increase f £52,340. Time, 1.44 3-5. When the field had settled down, Tybalt took command from Kilonsa and Valmint with Royal Appellant seventh. From the half mile to the straight Tybalt and Kilonsa made the play but once in line Royal Appellant moved up to join Valmint and went on to win by 2} lengths' witk a similar distance separating Loombination from Valmint. Time, 6.23. Allegretto and Valpeen set the pnce for a round, Windsor Lad deposing them at the double with Irish Comet, Forest Glow and Tudor in close attendance. Rouhd the back Irish Comet moved up into third place. while Forest Glow rau best up the hill to pass Windsor Lad. who fell at this fence. Down the hill Irish Comet took the lead from Forest Glow» Allegretto, Tudor and Don Erma, who fought out a sterling finish in which Irish Comet opened up a gap of five lengtns on Tudor, who was two lengths ahead of Allegretto.
