DUNEDIN, Last Night. Enumerating crop and stock dilfleultxos peculiar to tho Otago-Houthland arca, a deputation requested the Hon. W. Lee Martin, Minister of Agriculture, to give qonsideratioil to the South Island's claims for the establishment of a State training and experimeutal farm within a radius of eighfc milos of Dunedin. The Minister, in a sympathetie reply, promised to have tho prospect examined. He also- promised to go into t.he cost of establishiug a seed-testing station for Soutliland.
